As far as socio-economic concern you raised, usually it improves for them. Last, but most important thing is, child abuse or marriage without consent or marriage before an age of consent. This is a bit sensitive issue and I strongly oppose such non-consensual marriages. Rest I believe in improving the economy rather than regulating the marriage age.
